Our company offers the following products:

Types of FM Antennas

Dipole Antennas
This is the most commonly used and most basic FM antenna type. Composed of two conductors of equal length in the shape of a “T” and a feedline at its centre, this antenna is commonly used for radio stations and FM transmitters owing to its balanced performance. Furthermore, these antennas are also used to form antenna arrays, where dipole antennas of the same design and frequency range are set up to reduce the chances of multipath interferences.

Yagi Antennas
Yagi antennas are directional antennas that consist of a dipole as a driven element, a reflector, and several directors. This unique design grants it the ability to enhance signal gain in a specific direction, making Yagi antennas highly suitable for applications that require connectivity in a known direction. Particularly in FM broadcasting, Yagi antennas are mostly used to provide connectivity in targeted areas and to ensure connectivity across distant stations.

Vertical Antennas
These antennas are more commonly known as monopole antennas, as their design resembles a dipole antenna with half of its length buried in the ground. These antennas are omnidirectional and are therefore suitable for fulfilling FM broadcasting needs where a broader coverage is required. Being simple and compact in design, the vertical antenna is easy to install, which makes it a great choice for amateur radio operations.

Loop Antennas
Loop antennas are wire loops or coils that have been shaped as circular or rectangular according to their intended purpose. Even though these antennas are capable of both directional and omnidirectional patterns, they are most often used as directional antennas. In addition, these antennas stand out by being less susceptible to man-made noise and are therefore mostly used to improve signal reception.

Whip Antennas
The whip antenna is a monopole antenna that is flexible in nature. This therefore makes it a great option for portable FM radio receivers in FM radios, cordless phones and walkie-talkies. These antennas are often coated with a protective layer that makes them a durable and flexible option across various environments and a popular choice for car radios.

Step-by-Step Guide to Installing an FM Antenna

Locate the F-Type female connector on your Stereo Receiver or FM Radio. This is usually found on the back panel of the device.

Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the F-Type female connector on your receiver.

Attach the other end of the coaxial cable to the FM antenna. Make sure the connection is secure.

Position the FM antenna near a window or in a high location to improve signal reception.

Adjust the angle of the antenna to find the best signal quality. You may need to experiment with different positions.

Test the signal by tuning into a few FM stations. If the signal is weak, try moving the antenna or using a signal booster.

Advantages of Rubber Antenna

High flexibility

Rubber materials possess excellent flexibility, allowing the antenna to adapt to various complex installation environments, such as bending and folding, without damage or affecting performance.

Strong corrosion resistance

Rubber exhibits excellent resistance to many chemicals, effectively preventing antenna corrosion in harsh environments and extending its service life.

Excellent insulation

Rubber is a good insulator, preventing short circuits between the antenna and surrounding metal objects, ensuring stable signal transmission.

Lightweight

Compared to metal antennas, rubber antennas are generally lighter, making them easier to carry and install.

Applications of Rubber Antenna

Telecommunications: Cellular repeaters, femtocells, broadband modems, and satellite phones.

Broadcasting & Radio: Portable transceivers, FM radio receivers, and wireless microphone systems.

Networking: Residential and commercial Wi-Fi routers, wireless bridges, and mesh network nodes.

IoT & M2M: Smart meters, asset trackers, environmental sensors, and industrial telemetry.

Consumer Electronics: Remote controls, smart home hubs, and Bluetooth speakers.

Transportation & Logistics: GPS navigation systems, fleet management devices, and RFID readers.

Public Safety: Handheld radios for police, fire, and emergency medical services.

Choosing the Rubber Antenna

Frequency Band

Ensure compatibility with your device's operating frequency.

01

Gain and Efficiency

Higher gain models offer better range but may have narrower beamwidths.

02

Connector Type

Match the connector to your device's port (e.g., SMA, BNC).

03

Environmental Conditions

Choose waterproof and UV-resistant models for outdoor use.

04

Mounting Requirements

Consider straight vs. right-angle types depending on the device form factor.

05

FAQ

Q: What are the 4 characteristics of antenna?

A: Four main factors which differentiate antennas are frequency response, impedance, directivity, and electromagnetic polarization. When selecting an antenna for a particular application, these factors should be considered.

Q: Which type of antenna is used?

A: The key types of antennas include dipole antennas, loop antennas, patch antennas, and parabolic antennas. Dipole antennas are widely used in broadcasting, while loop antennas are suitable for compact designs. Patch antennas, often used in mobile devices, are compact and efficient.

Q: What is the basic principle of antenna?

A: An antenna works by converting electrical signals into electromagnetic waves for transmission and vice versa for reception. It relies on the principles of electromagnetism, where an electric current flowing through a conductor generates a magnetic field, and a changing magnetic field induces an electric field.

Q: What are common antenna problems?

A: The most common causes of TV picture problems are a faulty connection cable between the TV and the antenna socket, or a damaged mast amplifier or power supply unit. External disturbances are most common when using an older amplifier that also amplifies LTE signals, causing overload.

Q: What is the lifespan of an antenna?

A: Indoor antennas: Approx. 5–10 years. Outdoor antennas: 15–25 years, depending on build quality. Antennas exposed to salt spray or extreme weather may need earlier replacement.

As one of the leading antennas manufacturers and suppliers in China, we warmly welcome you to buy high-grade antennas made in China here from our factory. All customized products are with high quality and competitive price. Contact us for pricelist.
